Haley's Home Economic Day

We started the day off with the regular school work but then, Haley learned a few other lessons.

First, Alexa needed a hair cut because her hair was beginning to get long and stringy.

This is the best before pic I could find of her hair, but it doesn't really show how long and stringy it was.

This is after.  Haley cut it. I, just, evened it out and touched it up.

Alexa loves it!!!

Then, Haley went to baking and made some delicious brownies!!!

The finished product.

Pinterest

I have been loving Pinterest, lately.  It is my new addiction.  So many ideas and recipes.  I have tried a few recipes, some were good, some bad.

Ranch  Chicken was awesome and easy!

You can find the recipe here

We, also loved Sweet and Sour chicken and fried rice.

The recipe is here

I have been making burlap door hangers that I saw on Pinterest, too.  They are so easy to make.

A door hanger for when our son is born

and this one is hanging on my front door for Valentine's Day.

Volcano Experiment

Hunt received a volcano kit for Christmas, so we wanted to try it out.  The box says GIANT volcano that explodes.  Well, it was more like a small volcano that oozes.  We, even, put extra tablets in it, hoping it would explode but had no such luck.  The kids enjoyed it anyway.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Happy New Year!  I am not making any resolutions this year.  However, I am excited to see what God has in store for us.  The Lord blessed us tremendously in 2011 and I know He will in 2012.  I am excited about welcoming a new son in February.  Our family is growing, not only in size, but it is my prayer that we are growing in God's wisdom and love.
